Lizzy's Caernarfon is a small, full-service restaurant tucked just a short stroll from Caernarfon Castle along a charming side street. Known for its homely atmosphere and friendly service, the restaurant reflects its family-run, Welsh roots not only through its welcoming vibe but also in the care put into local and homemade dishes.

The interior feels intimate and unpretentious, making it a comfortable spot for a relaxed evening meal or a leisurely afternoon catch-up. The staff are attentive without being intrusive, setting the tone for an easygoing dining experience where you can settle in and savor your meal.

The menu emphasizes classic, well-executed dishes with a local twist—standouts often include hearty options like sirloin steak and gammon, alongside lighter brunch-style choices such as eggs Benedict. For those with a sweet tooth, desserts like panna cotta and tarte tatin are homemade and well-loved by regulars, rounding out the meal nicely.

Lizzy’s also offers an afternoon tea and a specials board, hinting at a menu that evolves with fresh, seasonal ingredients and local inspiration. Portions tend to satisfy without overwhelming, appealing to those who appreciate honest, straightforward cooking rather than overly complex plates.

This place suits diners who value a genuine, home-cooked feel and who want to enjoy quality food in a calm setting after exploring the historic town. It’s especially good for groups of friends or couples seeking a quiet dinner spot where the focus remains on well-prepared food and personable service. Visiting earlier in the day or early evening helps catch the restaurant at its liveliest moments without feeling rushed.

Overall, Lizzy's fits neatly into Caernarfon’s rich local dining scene, offering an experience that’s as much about community and comfort as it is about good food.

What a lovely cafe. Woman and Welsh owned small family business. Loved the local food - very good quality, especially the home made baked goods. Would happily go back. Short distance from the castle down a lovely small street.

Myself and my friends had booked a table at Lizzy’s and were greeted with a smile and shown to our table. The waitress was very attentive and took our food orders promptly. I decided on the pâté with onion marmalade for starters. Oh my goodness!! The side salad was so fresh and tasty! The pâté itself was amazing and I couldn’t get enough of the marmalade! I almost licked the bowl that it was served in! I ordered the gammon for my main, which was served with egg AND pineapple, peas and homemade chips. The chips were delicious, as was the gammon. The whole experience was so very enjoyable and I will definitely be back! Attentive staff, delicious home cooked foods to a very high standard and a welcoming, warm atmosphere. Thank you Liz and team! 5*

My wife and I had a wonderful experience at Lizzy's restaurant. From the moment we walked in, Lizzy and her husband Stephan made us feel right at home. The hospitality was exceptional, and the food was absolutely amazing. We highly recommend this charming establishment. The painting of Caernarfon Castle on the wall perfectly complemented the decor. It was a delightful dining experience! Thank you for the wonderful memories.
